Hi All

Is there any stock in SET that is of a copper producer / distributor etc.. basically company that should benefit if the copper prices go up? Can you name a few ( if there are more than one) and if you have any opinion which of those are worth the buy at current price?

Thanks
kofi

NOBLE: It seems the 74 DMA is a resistance. Tried to break the uptrend channel but failed today. Probably the major players tested the selling pressure. Its RSI keeps moving up and above 50. I think you can accumulate it with stop at 4.25.

KMC: nice chart. Price stays above 10, 25 and 75 DMA. It seems breaking out the downtrend. Buy with tight stop.

BWG: It's about 50% pullback. SKD is gold cross. RSI up. MACD blue bar is shortening. Probably will rebounce.

GENCO: falling down. Avoid it.

PRO: Wait for rebounce signal.

TFI has a stake in a startup copper smelter. I think it is burning cash and not producing anything yet - construction may even have been halted, but it may be enough for the rumour mill if TFI moves up strongly.

TFI is a buy in its own right if it breaks above recent high. It has been increasing overseas sales but this may now be affected by a stronger Baht.

ktc: looks good, january downtrewnd broken and rebounding from 1 year low.

demco: tricky, might be good in the long run but is now at 125 and 200 avg, will they restrict the uptrend? maybe enter with a tight stop of around 5

emc: st-double top at 5.2 suggest a fall, lt-chart looks ok with upside to 8, not sure where to enter

At Tuesday, March 04, 2008 11:14:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

ah: reached the former august/september low and bounced down sharply, better stay away for now. you can try to pick some around 10.5 as the downresistance in the 5 year chart seems to be broken and a trendchange for longterm could be ahead.
if you are already holding then watch the uptrend supportline since end of january (now at 11.5) and use it as selling point if broken even during intraday.

BLISS: Fallen from a high of 1.25 last week to 0.57 today, when is a good re-entry point?? Or can we expect this freefall to continue?

Thanks
Kris

At Wednesday, March 05, 2008 12:47:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

bliss: made a huge head and shoulder with the neckline a bit below 0.8 which could be a rebound limit. the down target of the h&s needs to be taken from a logaritmic chart which i don't have. jumping in right now to catch the falling knife is dangerous, better to wait for the selling pressure to ease and the volume to go down.

At Wednesday, March 05, 2008 12:59:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

something more about bliss: if you draw a support line in the 1 year chart the line is now at around 0.55-0.6. any risk takers?

iec: seamico recommended a buy yesterday with resistance 2.3-2.5, could be reached today. the rsi is reaching a level where a correction is likely, safer to stay out at the moment, but in the long run it could be pushed up again to 7 or so.

hemraj: reached the 75 and the more important 200 avg, looking at the 5 year chart there is a channel resistance at 1.5 so it is not much upside to be gained. one needs a tight stop to play it.

At Thursday, March 06, 2008 2:05:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

from seamico:
"BLISS has fallen from its record high of Bt1.72 a few weeks ago. The precipitous decline is obviously the same degree as the previous upswing. The negative RSI and Stochastic suggest a continual falling. However, the stock is approaching its 75-week MA line and the then Tweezers Top at Bt0.45. This will be the first challenge that may possibly hold, giving a short-term chance for speculation, targeting the Tweezers Bottom at Bt0.70 again."

Thanks Zorro,

Bliss seems yet to decide which way to go, so better to stick with property stocks for now. QH did nicely, aswell as EMC, despite Kim Eng's recommendation to sell QH today.

Is this a good time to re-enter TCC and LIVE??

Thanks,

tcc: rose on low volume the last month and should have a correction coming up, i expect it to test the 75 avg between 3.1-3.3 before rebounding.

live: has had too much of a run, i wouldn't recommend it at all. it could crash like bliss.

rs: could be worth a try despite not having breached the 25 avg yet, especially if it trades in the green while the set should be red today.

tym: had a good run along the 25 avg but when it broke down the rebound from the 75 avg usually can not go above the 25 avg again, so i would be careful and enter only if the 25 avg is clearly broken along with the downresistance since the end of january peak.

tog: broke down 25 and 75 avg, now close at the 125 avg but i guess it will test the 200 avg at 3.2

de: buy and use uptrend support since 4th of december as stop

d1: seems to start something, check the news on friday about warrant issue or capital increase, use tight stop.

hmm very quite tdy...

zorro, what's your view on BROCK, MBAX, MLINK?

ueda

At Monday, March 10, 2008 8:28:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

market is not in a good mood with foreigners selling.

brock: restricted by the 75 avg and broke down the 25 avg as well, more downside at least in st to come and i even think we will see a new low. buy if it breaks the 75 avg.

mbax: shining star today but close to the 75 avg where it might retract back to have the 25 avg as support. overall a buy but choose the entry point either by buying tomorrow on the opening (unless it opens close to the 75 avg) or on a dip/correction.

mlink: nice triangle since january, drawing the lines exactly it looks like the support is broken, wait for tomorrow if it continues the downtrend. might be a good entry at the 75 avg for rebound.

At Tuesday, March 11, 2008 9:23:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

bliss: in the set news from iec today it states that iec has sold 490 million shares on the 7th of march, maybe the sellign pressure is over now.

not bad for MLINK & MBAX, anyone bought it?hopefully wl continue rising!

zorro, how about others small caps SINGHA, SOLAR, MME

ueda

At Wednesday, March 12, 2008 8:41:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

with the dow more than 3 % up it will be difficult to buy in today as usually the set opens high and closes low, but maybe as there was no foreign selling yesterday the stocks can continue the run.

singha: a bit of a triangle there, although at the moment still a bit weak it could take off soon and seems to be low enough to try. a tight stop of 2.18 should be very safe, if you want to risk more use 2.1 as stop.

solar: falling resistance since january needs to be broken (chase if it breaks 3 today during intraday)

mme: testing again the horizontal support at 1.9-1.95, buy with a tight stop but i think it will break it in the future. you can also use the falling resistance since july as entering signal if broken, which is nearly identical to the 75 avg.

According to Scrt4u, on feb 29th I bought 30,000 BBL after the break out and set my stop at 127 and this week it went to 125 so i sold it at 125 for a loss of 90,000 baht not worth your tip only to see it go up again today. Get a life!

Choice

At Wednesday, March 12, 2008 3:35:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Choice, your comments are not fair.
Scrt4u on Feb 29 (Friday, February 29, 2008 3:43:00 PM) didn't tell you to buy BBL. He said: BBL: broke out. If chase, set stop at 127
It's up to us to follow or not, Scrt4u's recommendations. At least a bit of personal researches are needed. Either you invest and when the stock goes down you accumulate or you speculate. The difference between speculation and gambling is thin...

hi all
got some psl at 30... thinking of cost averaging it . now its at 24.3 do you think its at its bottom level and is a good time to buy or it will likely fall to 22 or sub 20 level .. any thoughts?

Another one is PTTAR .. have some profit but cant decide whether to sell coz on monday its gonna fall coz XD not sure if it will fall more than 2.5 (div amount). any ideas?

Thanks
kofi

To kifi,

PSL: cut loss because it broke the previous low. RSI is still above 20 and it could go below 20.

PTTAR: Hold it as it is above 25 and 75 moving average. SKD, RSI and MACD look OK. Or you can sell half of your position to lock your some of your profit so that you have more profit cousion to protect your principal.

mdx: after breaking the february support of 3.25 we saw today a bit of a rebound which might stall at 3.25, i would prefer some other stocks over mdx.

brook: finally broke the 75 avg and volume picking up, worth a try with tight stop.

singha: still lacking of direction, cheap enough to keep holding for lt but with the market in mt downtrend and the macd failing to give a buy signal i would stay away till buying interest sets in.

seafco: nice downresistance since february (or falling wedge if you draw the support line), you will see an intraday rally when broken, so keep an eye on it and jump on for a quick profit.

GEN, EMC & SPORT keep rising!!!sky is the limit!!

did you make money from them???

At Thursday, March 27, 2008 12:41:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

So what is the moving average for TT&T?

At Thursday, March 27, 2008 3:04:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To anonymous,

TT&T: I do not think it's easy for TT&T to go up to 1.58. There are many opportunities for a stock to go up 10% but there are few opportunities for a stock to go up 100%. That is why we keep advising you to cut loss when your losss is still small.

What is the moving average for TT&T? What's the point you ask this question? Usually we use 5 days, 10 days, 25 days, 75 days, 200 days, etc... It's up to yourself.

GEN: zorro recommended this great stock when it's around 1.30. It's now UP 215%. Great call, zorro!

------- Background post ------
gen: the area of 1.3 was a resistance in oct/nov and should now be support together with the 75 avg, worth to enter with a tight stop.

To Moe,

NNCL: After about 50% pullback, it seems preparing a rebounce. If you try, stop at 2.04

PF: It's been in en uptrend but today it failed to take out the resistance at 4.24. Reduce position or take some profit at least.

To ueda,

CIG: broke out the original channel. Now in a small rally. Resistance is around 5.30.

HANA: seems a small rally started. Chase with tight stop.

HMPRO: in uptrend. Resistance is around 5.25.

I guess S2Y looks better than NCH.

Good luck.
