According to expert research, the pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing industry is expected to increase by about 26% from 2004-2014, while all other industries combined are only projected to grow by 14%.

Dig out the stocks concerned.

Mark down your current emotion (what you are feeling, what you want to do ...),

Several months later, compare the SET facts with your present emotion, and you can see how to conquer "FEAR".

SET index likely to reach 800 in mid-2007, says analyst TNA

BANGKOK, Sept 29 – The Stock Exchange of Thailand’s index is expected to surge to 720-740 points at the end of this year and reach 800 in the middle of next year, boosted by positive internal and external factors, according to a leading stock analyst.

Pichai Lertsupongkit, Executive Vice President of Prudent Siam Securities, attributed the expected rally of the SET index to a possible increase in a profitability of listed companies on the bourse.

He said the country’s economy had begun...

Please note that the report of Sept 29th didnt include the stupidity of the BOT and the Bangkok Bomb blast, and now there are talks about a credit ratings cut for Thailand. With the governments un friendly foreign policy, and confustion regarding the telcom sector, the SET cannot go anywhere.

Why not go to Electronic Sector where there is no any impacts from capital control nor the internal problems. Donot always play gambling stocks.
Banking stocks also becoming interesting because it downs alot and when you buy bank you have chance to get dividend plus price restoration when things pick up. Other stocks when go down it goes down forever and never come back to its original price again.

Invest in Banking stocks such as KTB and BAY, you get good dividend and if it falls you are sure that one day it can come back to your purchased price, unlike other stocks you almost have no chance to recover. Think Again
BAY has new partner, GE and it is very interesting to see how BAY will perform under the joint management with GE, I belive GE will not allow its share price to fall below 16 baht which is its purchased price.

tks and traf seem to hold up well, sthai seems to break out of a downtrend.
during the new year holidays iI was looking for some stronng supports for an entry. while a lot stocks reached these supports this week and could be a short or lt speculation, others broke their support, which looked similar.
i will have a closer look at the stocks again tomorrow, let's see if I can find something interesting. bottom fishing is always difficult.

SET is now at a very low point and I recomend the following stocks worth considering:
ADVANC, KTB, BAY, BBL, ERAWAN, KEST, ASP, TMB, TRUE, ITD, STEC and BAY-W1. Energy stocks are not worth it as Oil prices have slid over 9% in the past 2 trading days and some talk about oil going way down as the uptrend might be over. who knows?

Please dont get me wrong, i am not trying to be arrogant here or is the word condecending. But zorro your fundamental stock suggestions are not very strong from a financial point of view. Most are showing losses, low ROE etc.

To me these are not strong fundamentally appealing stocks, rather they may be potential turn around stocks which generally i avoid UNLESS i really understand the industry.

In my opinion a potential fundamental portfolio is
City (which you mentioned)
DCC
DRT
JTS (which you mentioned)
LEE
L&E
MCOT
Modern
PTT
Rojana
SMIT
SAT
SPPT
SVI
Tfund
TTA
UMS

This portfolio covers different industries and comprise mainly defensive small caps with strong cash flows and very attractive dividends (which will insulate against potential further market downfalls).

Having said this, i do really appreciate the effort you and scrtU4 put into this sight.

I guess, today's green might be because today is the last day that the B.O.T. will allow those non-resident Baht a/c to carry Baht at the maximum amount of 300 million baht per account. All the surplus must be remitted outwards within today. In this case, the foreigners may choose to reinvest in SET rather than sending out in view of the fact that they still recognize that all other Asian markets currently are on the Top of Mt. Everest and to send more money into those countries will only benefit those who already want to quit at a better exchange rate. They, therefore, decide to re-invest in SET which full of lots of cheap stuff. To invest in SET is not under any B.O.T. restrictions. The Baht today is quite stable at 35.98-36.05

zorro your view on RS, SALEE, LPN plzzz thx!

At Friday, January 12, 2007 4:49:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To Jiang's question: SYNTEC - this stock has finished one big rally on 22 Nov. 2006 (check the chart). From then on, the stock price kept going down. The coop slapped it down to 0.8. Now 0.8 displayed a strong support. It looks rebouncing. Usually after a big rally the insider punters won't put big money back to pull it high as before. RSI = 40 which is a little ambiguous. If 0.80 is a double bottome, the next resistance is around 1.05-1.10. IF you like to try, I think you can have a "small play". Stop = 0.85 Good luck.

At Friday, January 12, 2007 5:00:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To who it may concern - zorro is a little busy. Let me try to answer your question.

RS: Big rally is finished. Wait for it is reset.

SALEE: it's in an uptrend. If you try, set stop = 2.25-2.30

LPN: Big rally was ruined by coop, now in a downtrend channel, looks like a falling knife. Wait for clear signal.

Maybe I am wrong.

At Friday, January 12, 2007 5:04:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

TT&T: interesting again. How many times could the insider punters cheat you or shake you out? I guess it is usually 3-4 times. Play at your own risk. good luck.

At Friday, January 12, 2007 9:09:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

scrt4u, did you mix up rs with rk? rs hasn't had a big rally acc. to my chart.

rs: still in downtrend, but 2 days ago was a volume-low and yesterdays small rebound could indicate a turnaround. you could buy with stop 3.92. there will be a strong resistance at 4.5 (downtrendline and 25 day avg)
salee: in uptrend and above 25/75 day avg, buy with stop 2.2, take profit at 2.7
lpn: only worth a st-rebound play, resistance of 25/75 day avg in the area of 5.5 will be strong, better stay away.

At this moment it is not the time to Short Sell until every stock has declared its own full year exam's result first (around mid Feb-end Feb) then, you will see more and more short sell but the timing could be until the end of the div. payment periods--around Apr. and then Sell in May and Go Away. So right now, it is not good timing to short selling.

TKS: just finished WAVE 2, RSI =80, so a little late.
NSM: It's on our cooking list for some time. Hold it if it does not break your stop.
TRAF: Now it's a little late, some resistance around 0.65. But late is better than never. Who knows?!

Your other entry points are very good. Happy trading.

one more, SOLAR too

At Monday, January 15, 2007 12:47:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

lh: might close the gap to 6.5, but then…the weekly chart shows that a former support at 6 was broken. monthly chart shows lh is in a downtrend channel with resistance at 8 and support at around 4. lh is now just in the middle. if you hold i would sell on strength, i would not buy into it now.

ap: rebounding from the december low, same as lh. during last years rally the 25 day avg was a good support, now could be the resistance and it is coming down fast and hard. at 4.4 is the crossover of 25 and 75 which should be the maximum if the rebound continues, but i guess the 25 day avg will put the breaks on earlier. isn't worth the risk to buy.

ksl: survived the bad news very well. the stock trading range is quite narrow and you won't get much gain out of it. could stay flat the whole year after having had a good performance the year 2005. the weekly chart looks more like it will go down in the long run (macd turning negativ).

solar: how low can it fall? similar to tt&t, would be bottom fishing. up to now no positiv signs. if you buy: a new low means sell, so set stop 3.18 and pray. if you get stopped out, the loss will be small, but a rebound could bring lots of profit: the fast falling 25 day avg (now at 4.7) could be the first resistance, the gap at 5-5.5 could be closed or the former horizontal support at 6.5 could be reached. make sure that if you buy that you can sell all stocks within 1 or 2 spreads.

=================================
MIDA: looking interesting. stop 1.3 or little lower.
Tuesday, January 09, 2007 1:45:00 PM
================================

Today MIDA shot up to the resistance at 1.70. It's a 30% profit. Take some profit today. Leave a small position to make protential profit for you.

This is a nother sucessful "guess".

With this 30% profit, you can try 6 times if you allow 5% loss each try. Aha. No risk, no gain.

scrt4u and zorro:

Can you please give yuor update on NSM and DISTAR?

I have been slowly accumulating EPCO, NSM and BBL, avg now .52, .33 and 101.00, and would like to know if this is wise.

Many thanks

UK

At Monday, January 22, 2007 1:39:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To UK - my views:

NSM: move LPP to 0.34. Now it is forming a small horizontal platform for 4 days. It could break up/down.

DISTAR: correction. If it breaks down 0.68, reduce position. If it breaks 0.60, exit and find a new low to enter.

EPCO: now seems going up. Your cost is OK.
BBL: We advised to buy on 11/01/2007. It's about 9% profit now. Pay attention to volume which shows if the big hands distribute or not. If they do, you too.

Hope my blind guess is helpful to you. Happy trading!

At Tuesday, January 23, 2007 5:29:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

My comments:

JAS: It seems 0.37 is a strong support. How low could it go? If you believe its fundamental, why not try it with stop at 0.37?
Apure: it seems there is strong support around 2. If you try, set your stop at 2.00 or a little lower.
MPT: I said it's been cooking. It will only reward those who has the highest EQ.
ITD: It seems strong support is around 4. If you believe its fundamental, you could accumulate this stock. Set stop at 4.00 or a little lower.
APURE: A strong support line seems around 2. If you are brave, enter with a stop at 2 or a little lower.
PTTEP: ambiguous. Better wait and see.

Play at your own risk.

Thailand is a country like "pearl under the straw"! SET too. Sooner or later SET will skyrocket. Take a look at China. For how long and how many people have lost their confidence before it started flying. Now the Chinese stock market is so hot that many people pawn their cars, appartments to invest in the stock market. Do you know it's much riskier to invest now than two years ago!!!

Turn waste into treasures, turn carbon into diamond. The world is a big recycle, the SET is a small recycle, up, down, up, down, up, down... until forever.:)

Bought back AOT today at 50.50 after having sold it at 72.50. Bad news in this stock time to get in! The new airport isnt going anywhere and tourists will still be coming in use of common sense. Plus I think next month or in March they gonna hike the tax from 500 to 700baht, plus increase the landing fees for planes, so earning should improve too.
