Stocks Discussion No.9-2006

GEN: This is a very good call by zorro. We recommended this stock for several times. Now it is already up 100%. Look at the chart:

I think today (1 september 2006) you should reduce your position to lock some profit so that you can regulate your cost and make more profit on this stock.

pau, my comments:
btc-w2: broke down trend after double bottom. better ask zorro give you some advice.
pro: looks OK, if you try it, set stop at 0.6 or little lower.
theco: It's forming a flag pattern. It could go up or down. better wait and see.
UV: seems in uptrend. use trend like as stop.
lvt-w1: enter with stop at 0.5.
cpr: in consolidation.
inox: looks toppy. If you have it, lock profit.

btc-w2 is still too expensive b&s = 0.16.
btc made a new low, now rebounding a bit, but the weekly chart shows a bearish triangle with horizontal support at 1.50 which was broken slightly last week. does not look very good at the moment.

Pau, in answer to your question yestoday, I said PTL is forming a platform, today you see it moved up 5%. If you enter, set 3.0 as stop-out. I recommended PTL and PF as cooking stocks in the snakepit of Seamico, some people didn't believe. Why stocks start to move up now? Because usually it needs 4 months for the major punters to pull up the price and distribute to the retailers.

At Monday, September 11, 2006 6:17:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

lvt: does not look good from my point of view as the uptrend since june has been broken and lvt is below 15 and 25 day avg. and macd turned negativ.
lvt-w1: chart looks better then lvt, but i don't have figure for volatility to calculate the b&s-value. Playing with different volatility-numbers suggest that the warrant isn't cheap and could be good for st-trading only.

NWR: this stock finally shot up. It is up 65% since our recommendation. Some people lost money on this stock because they did not cut loss when it's still small. Morgan Stanley is a tough player. If you don't lose, how can MS make money. If MS continues to excercise its muscules, this stock could shoot up to the shy. several fold is possible. Just "blind guess" :) Take it easy. Play at your own risk.

target for TPIPL ?

At Wednesday, September 13, 2006 11:17:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

also running is NOBLE. Bought 50,000 at 3.84 but was so dumb to sell at 4.08. Still have 50,000 at 5.00 and another 50,000 bought at 3.38. Should begin to dump or let profits running ?

Thoughts about QH and QH-W3 ?

At Thursday, September 14, 2006 2:24:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To gaudente - TPIPL just started boiling. 1st res = 11; 2nd res=12.5; 3rd res = 15; 5th res = 20. I don't know the target.

Don't blame yourself for selling too early. No one will get broke by taking profit too early but just be less richer. The important thing is that you make sure to make money stably.

Let's do some simplemath for your NOBLE:

Buy-1: 50,000 X 4.08 = Baht 204,000 (6% profit = Baht 12,240)

Buy-2: 50,000 X 4.68 = Baht 234,000 (38% profit = Baht 88,920)

Buy-3: 50,000 X 4.68 = Baht 234,000 (7% loss = Baht 16,380)

Total profit = 88920 + 12240 - 16380 = Baht 84,780

Now NOBLE is still in the uptrend channel, but RSI is 80 (over bought) and the price is nearing the previous high. Could it take out the res? Hard to say.

I suggest you deal them seperately:

1)Lock profit of buy-2;
2)Only let buy-3 try the possible run-up. Move LPP to 4.54 for buy-3. If the momentum looks too weak to take out the res at 4.75, cutloss buy-3. It's about 10% loss if you cutloss at 4.5.

Hope helpful to you. Actually you traded very well.

SUSCO: if you bought this stock at .5, you were chasing a stock. When chasing, you should use tight stop. That means you should have exited on 13 September. How could you unload it?
TPIPL: cooking, hold it.
NWR: You just entered it last Friday. You should buy it when it was around 0.62. It's about 30% up. There seems some res around 0.9.

At this stage it is a bit difficult to predict the set movement for a month: 2 shooting stars, a kind of head and shoulder top and the 200 day avg resistance indicate a st or mt-weakness to come but there is a golden cross to support in the area of 695.

nwr: from phillip: Medium-term trend is weak.Good support is 0.72 and resistance is 0.95. No medium-term buy signal exists yet.
As for short-term, trading buy. Resistance 0.83-0.86;support 0.77-0.75;stop 0.74.

nsm: should be worth to hold on for longterm

tpipl is cooking sideways, a breakout could come anytime in any direction

sattel: have some concerns: downresistance since july not broken yet, which coincides with the 25 day avg. 1-year chart still shows lower lows
5-year low is now reached, which could be a kind of support, but this will be taken out if sattel closes below 9.1 which is the low it seems to be supported on since 3 weeks.

KCE: Res seems around 3.5

SPORT: Move LPP to 2.85 or higher.

Answers to your questions:

PSL: res seems around 47.50 - 49 Week volume means the punter has not distributed completely if the price is still up.
TTA: 28 seems res. Move your LPP to 27.50. If it can not take out the res. lock your profit or reduce positon.

JUTHA: looks no charming. Forget it.

What do you think of BCP and TT&T ? Both plunged deep, bought 50,000 TT&T today at 1.87 and I wonder if it is worth buying 10,000 BCP at 9.50.
Btw I sold 50,000 NOBLE at 4.78 and still have the other 50,000 , hoping they get past 5 baht.

TT&T: wait until it goes levelly. Set tight stop for your 50,000 TT&T.

To all posters :

What are your comments about SET once it opens tomorrow ?

I believe there will be a steep dive for a short period but,as 9/11 and others thaught us a strong recovery will follow soon .

The question is should we sell heavily at the opening or not or should we " dive " through ,and which groups of stocks in particular are at risk to lose the most ?

The Baht took a very heavy beating today by the financial markets !

Thanks

pau

baht took a heavy beating? it is down at 37.7 versus 37.2 (averge of last week). i don't expext the market to drop much (3-5% max), unless things develop more negativly than they are now. taksins stock will take the beating. i would not sell at the opening, rather see if the market stabilizes and buy for lt.

The Snakepit of Seamico is closed because of the political sensativeness. As far as I know, thailand will be stablized in a short period of time. The reasons are:

It is said that this coup is supported or at least silently granted by the king of Thailand.

In thailand the king is the most respected by all the parties and thai people. Even Taksin's supporters have to make a choice between Taksin and the King. And you know their choice.

Thai people believes in Buddism which advocates peace.

The economy has to move no matter who will be the next PM of Thailand.

Foreign investors keeps buying and they have very strong influence to the fluctuation of SET.

My advice is "take this coup easy". It will be over quickly. Life in Thailand will be back to the normal track shortly. No need to panicly sell. If you have money, buy more (Note: do it at your own risk). Those people who invested heavily after the "11 September attack" made big profit.

I seldom talk about politics on stock market forums, this is an exception because of the special crisis.

Only my "blind guess". Please decide to buy or sell yourself. Good luck.

There is nothing now as the Coup is under His Majesty's Acceptance and no one could resist. The problem is from some bad guys who love to produce rumours and you should be cautious as rumour will negatively affect the stocks with less fundamentals.

I look to enter TTA but the BDI index falls heavily again today indicating that there will be more falls in the next few days, ENERGY also down, same as zinc price. I think there is nothing to invest now except BANKS and PROPERTY as well as BROKER STOCKs. I am now looking for some PROPERTY stocks, scrt4u can you suggest some good T.A. property stocks for us.
Shizuoka

At Monday, September 25, 2006 10:14:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

You can try hospital stocks
BGH (recommended by many analysts, I am not sure), also medium banks KK,
Property: AP, SIRI, LPN, SPALI, CPN
Brokers: ASP, KEST

At Monday, September 25, 2006 11:07:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To Shizuoka, we recommended TTA when it was only 18.5 on 20-21 March 2006. Actually you don't need to follow the BDI index and also make profit on TTA.

If you ask my opinion on property, I still recommend NWR and ITD. ITD is one of the most fundamentally sound stock on SET. NWR is ITD's "relative". Fundamentally it is good. Technically it is at its historic low. Cooking for almost two years. Think about it. It is now only Baht 0.64 (about USD0.01), dirt cheap!!! It could fly up as high as several folds, say up 400% - 600% if the BIGhands keep punting it. But this is only my "blind guess". Judge by yourself.

At Monday, September 25, 2006 11:16:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

BGH: when this stock was only about 10, I advised Laserjet to enter and focus it. Not probably too late. When many brokers recommend it, you should be careful. Why didn't brokers persuade you to buy when it was below 10?

At Tuesday, September 26, 2006 9:05:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

right now it should fly above 30 for BGH the same things when you advised at 10 baht. BGH has expanded several times not only in Bangkok but with many subsidiaries in up-countries.

I think QH could be a good bet for a few satangs up. Probably the management will push up price to have all W3 subscribed. I already own 300,000 QH paid 1.28 long time ago and 1,000,000 W3 paid 0.06 to subscribe so I am not going to buy further, but could be a good idea for you.

gaudente, connect all the lows between 20.06.2006 - 22.09.2006 and draw a parallel line above, you can see an uptrend channel. Now QH is just rebouncing from the lower line.

TTA is facing big trouble as BDI plunges heavily below its exponential line. Every time when the index line falls under this exponential average, it means share price will plunges. Perhaps next support is 23 baht.
