Cooking list of Stocks - No.3 2006

Welcome dear Thai stock investors / traders

AJ: is another successful stock pick by our group. This stock is on our cooking list for quite some time. The latest time when zorro recommended it again was on 6 March. Please look at the chart. It is up 33% in about 3 weeks. Not bad. Click the chart to enlarge. (updated on 27 March 06)
SPACK: This stock had been moving sideway for quite a long time before its volume increased recently. Probably somthing cooking there. (updated on 26 March 06)

GEN: It looks forming a double bottom. still cooking. Keep an eye on it. (updated on 27 March 06)

SMIT: It seems on the move. Accumulate with tight stop. (updated on 27 March 06)

EMC: It's been staying above 1.90 (support line) since last Dec. Forming a flag pattern. Looking good. Accumulate quietly if 1.90 does not break. Now 1.9 broke, RP. IP with a stop at 1.84(updated on 27 March 06)

SPL: Move lpp to 38.25. Enjoy. (updated on 27 March 06)

GSTEEL: still cooking. If 1.26 support breaks, exited. Re-enter when price is good. 1.21 seems forming a new higher support, IP with tight stop. (updated on 27 March 06)

DELTA: move lpp to 20.4, exited and re-enter when price is good. Technically I recommended to get in when it was 15.5. After my post, the major punters did a "big" shake out to 13.70. About half an year later it touched 21.30 (up 55%) and then every high is lower than the previous high, seemingly means losing momentum. It is still in the uptrend channel. If you like, you can accumulate with a tight stop (if it breaks channel lower line, exit). Of course DELTA is fundamentally sound, otherwise the Singaporean won't play it. Usually it is quite satifactory for a group of punters to achieve 55% profit. But in thai stock market some stocks may go up 6-8 folds. Really unbelievable!!! Those who listened to my call and got in when it was 15.5 have made about 30% in about half an year. (updated on 27 March 06)

MS: looking in up trend. Set stop at 1.13. Use 25DMA as protection. Good luck. (updated on 27 March 06)

NCH: Now in downtrend. Wait for re-entry. Now you may accumulate with stop at 1.18. (updated on 27 March 06)

PAP: Still cooking. Accumulate quietly with tight stop. (updated on 27 March 06)

IRP: It looks good. Still in uptrend and above 75DMA. (updated on 27 March 06)

We'll add more gradually.

GSTEEL: is this still on the cooking list.?
Only 15% of the shares are actively traded as these were the amount floated under the IPO in early January at 1.60 each.

i don't think that a cancelation would have a major effect to the set except for the shin & co-stocks.
if the situation goes worse, the set will tank because of the situation itself.

zo/scrt,
UV looks good?

At Thursday, March 02, 2006 12:54:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

uv: looks ok, eddy recommends today support 1.7-1.8 and resistance 2.3-2.4. i think there might be some selling at the double peak 2.02.
nch: the "last chance support" (75 day avg) has worked fine

the Shin deal will be completed without problem, you can notice that the current strong baht is due to the last remittance from Temasek to buy the remaining SHIN stock.

de: mentioned somewhere earlier that punters seem to have lost interest and if it drops below 0.6 it should be avoided. st-stochastics oversold, get rid of it during the next upswing or if it breaks 0.56 in intraday
cpr: supports are the previous lows at 2.1 and 1.96

DE: Punter is busy with MIDA and its warrants and MME so DE and DISTAR lying fallow.

nwr: although it made a new low, a downchannel has developed since january (now close to support) and rsi is getting oversold. insider buying is increasing, buy tomorrow on weakness for a st-rebound, sell at channelresistance (now approx. 1.00) for a quick gain or if a reversal forms, hold for longterm

tpi: the earlier mentioned uptrend channel has been slightly broken. tpi rebounded first and found resistance at the 25/75 day avg crossover. danger of a longer downtrend coming. downchannel since january has been formed, now at resistance, could make a steep fall soon

Hello excellent Gentlemen, I have a request for you guys to look at SATTEL as a potential investment. I think it is a reasonable opportunity to follow up on and i'd like a view of the technical aspects if a t all possible. I think the Watcher has commented on this one on that other website.

At Thursday, March 16, 2006 3:39:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

SATTEL: technically, you may get in with a tight stop. Resistance at first 13 and then 15. Hope helpful to you. As long as you use "tight stop", you won't loose. I agree with the Watcher who is a very good stock picker. Good luck!

notaclue, you are right. Sometimes the punter smashes down the price down in a very short period, like MLINK on 7 March 06, So when find it, it's already too late to exit. My suggested strategy is every time when you would like to enter a stock, spend only 1/3 of your planned budget, so that you have spare money to average down at least one time. For example, you entered MLINK at 2.7 on 1 March 06. The punter did a "big shakeout" on 7 March, you missed the suggested exit point at 2.60. You just wait until the downtrend reversed on 9 March and you average down your cost to about 2.50; now your have put 2/3 of your planned budget. Your loss has been lowered to -8%. Your loss was 0 on 16 March. Until 20 March, you can see the price had not made new high for three days, you should exit on the same day and your loss is about 2.4%. Plus TAV and commission collected by the dealer, you totally loss is less than 5 %. Hope helpful to you.

mlink: after the steep drop it rebounded to the 75 day avg and failed to break it, i would dump it
gsteel: rebounded to 25 day avg and formed a downresistance, nsm performing better, could be worth to switch
btc: remember i recommended to switch to smit?

scrt4u/zorro,
Is it likely, in your opinion, CCET will make a run?
Thanks

At Friday, March 31, 2006 5:57:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

hongkie, CCET's every low is higher than the previous 3 lows. But it seems there is resistance from 3.8 up to 3.95. I am not sure if there will be a run.

CHEAP is back here
I think BLAND is interesting, if it breaks .80, the Jan 05 height, it could go to 0.90 easily and moving forward to 1.25-1.28 in just one month.
GSTEEL: I recommend to enter 1.24-1.25 and sell at 1.50 in July or earlier
CHEAP

At Saturday, April 01, 2006 1:44:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

welcome CHEAP be back here. BLAND is in an uptrend channel, but the volume decrease gradually. Probably it will be consolidated for some time to break the .80 resistance.

At Saturday, April 01, 2006 8:27:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I learned that BLAND this year would be better off since there would be another debts restructuring amounted approx. 9-10 billion bahts from now until the second Q of its 2006 fiscal year which is the end of Sept. 06
This makes its Debt/Equity Ratio is almost 1:1 and its share price should be above par value by then.
FYI

Notaclue: have you sold your MLINK today, I read from above that you have switched to SAMTEL on Mar. 30 you moved the wrong timing as MLINK is flying today despite its XD. To compensate your loss I would suggest you to enter BLAND and hold until end of this month

notaclue, if it helps you are just making the mistakes we all make when we start. The bad news is that there is no simple magic key or formula. It is an art. Think of the time you would expect to invest to become a professional photographer or a concert pianist.
