Back in. Looks like somebody has plans for this stock, but seems they were seeking a better level or trying to get more of the float and shake out weak holders. Still might be too early again. Such is the game of speculation.

aj: this should be a longterm investment, you need to hold until the punters pull it up.now above the 25 day avg and still safe
btc: i recommended a stop of 1.7, you should sell, maybe switch to smit
mlink: the 75 day avg at 2.54 should be a good support, but get out if broken
traf: something you have to watch closely, near a downresistance right now, if it bounces back you better avoid it, if it reaches 1 again, the trend is broken and you can buy at 0.9-1
mida: direction sideways, could form a flag, wait a bit to see a breakout

iec: broke a rally-support line on 28th of february, which should indicate a major trend change. it broke the 75 day avg on friday, next support level would be the 125 day avg (now at 3.2). the rsi is at the lowest level since more than a year, rebound should come soon, but iec could turn out to be a falling knife. mt or lt investors should wait for some consolidation before entering. as learner likes quick rebounds he could try to enter at 3.2, or in case a downchannel develops, 2.5 would be another (safer) possibility to enter (channelsupport and 200 day avg). it is difficult to predict a rebound if the fall occured such quick. i would not be surprised to see iec back at 1.4 this year.....
tcb: rebounded last week due to oversold condition. 18-19 is a good support on the weekly chart and shopuld be used as stop.

star: after a doublebottom breakout of recent high, now some consolidation, 25 and 75 day avg crossing at 1.85-1.9 should be a good support
maco: uptrend on constantly strong volume looks good for the longterm (9 could be a strong resistance), some resistance now as rsi is overbought and st-stochastics display a sell signal, 25 day avg area could be used as entry/stop
seafco: slightly downsloping channel since august, volume peak end of february suggests that game is over. If you want to buy, wait for a breakout or enter at channel support (now 3.5-3.6)

in Stock market you cannot expect to make money every day. When you cannot make money everyday, it means you will lose in those days that you cannot make profit, so it is a rule that you have to wait for your stock's timing.

Is the finance sector on course for another rebound? if so when? and what's good to buy.

At Thursday, March 09, 2006 9:36:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

finance: on longterm basis it should rebound from the rising support line since 2000. shortterm it has rebounded on low volume and a downchannel has developed. now it stays slightly below 25 and 75 day avg, looks more like going down further to test the low at 1000-1030. see bartons charts: the green wedge is now the st-downchannel.
which stocks to buy? i do not know now, would have to scan them all, but sicco seems to be interesting, asp if it can hold 4, will have a closer look during the weekend, no hurry to rush in now.

finance: underperforming the set since a couple of years, no change of this trend in sight. for those who want some finance stocks in their porte or want to play a sector rebound,i have checked all charts and found the following stocks interesting:
a) rebound play for possible triplebottoms:
asp: support @ 4
cns: support @ 40
kest: support @ 20
kgi: support @ 2
zmico: now at support
b) stocks that are still in uptrend:
gl and kcar: still in uptrend, but weak turnover
ktc: still in a bullrun, use 25 day avg as stop
nfs: looking strong, 75 day avg =stop
c) others:
pl: might be in a reversal stage, use 25 day avg as stop
asl: might rebound from horizontal support @ 9.0 but upside will be restricted by the 25 day avg.
gbx: capital increase by issuing free warrants, could be chased by the warrant hunters
sicco: longterm downtrend broken on strong volume

Thanks for the Directors dealing site, its OK but you have to pick out the 2006 data.
On NWR i see that the directors are continuing to buy as the stock price falls. 6m share in 2006 bought in total with c. SP 1.00 Bht, with recent transactions at c.0.97BHT 1.5m on 8th March 2006.
Today the price is 0.92 so their could be some upscope.... or can this be interpreted another way.
Please comment Zorro and SCRU4U.

svoa: waking up
kmc: bottom pick?

zorr, my views:

ktech - 75dma works as support while 25dma as resistance;still ambiguous.

svoa - semms waking up but on the way up there are some resistances btw 1.10-1.25

kmc - seems bottom, OBV looking ok.

tcj: jumped in when I saw it taking off. now have to do some research (normally it is the other way round). stopped at the 75 day avg, if it continues tomorrow morning with a couple of % up, then it could fly. lots of stocks that have been falling in nomansland are getting attention, power, tgci, and so on. there are plenty more around, need to do some more screening.
ai: formed a downchannel since january, stopped at the 25 day avg and ended at a former horizontal support, should fail at channelresistance 10.7 intraday tomorrow
phatra: if the channel i mentioned earlier is ok, it could go above 52

SHIN: when it broke the uptrend channel, I suggested exit. Look at the chart now and you can see it is down over 26% :( This is a good example for locking profit or risk management even you have 0% gain.

At Wednesday, March 22, 2006 5:25:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

tks: broke yesterday the downtrend since last august and formed an uptrend channel with support now 2.7. tks-w1: kelive gives a volatility of 55 % (see report last september), which seems to be a touch too high for the current performance, as the stock was trading in a tight range during the last 12 month. the yield is 6% for 2005 and using those figures the warrant is now 40% above the fair value of 0.5.
using a volatility of 20-30%, the fair value would be less than 0.1 baht. thus the warrant would not be interesting for longterm investment
