Discussion Of Other Stocks No.3 - 2006
Dear Thai stock investors / traders, welcome to No.3 (March 2006).
GBX: This stock is looking interesting. Suggest to accumulate quietly with a stop at 2.92. Good luck. (updated on 15 March 06)
PTL: It seems that this stock starts rebounding. Enter with tight stop. Good luck.
SOLAR: still looking good. Set your lpp at 8.85-9.0
TK: Volume increasing; could be bought at 4.7-4.8. Use tight stop.
UOBKH: looking good. Move lpp/stop to 6.5
SVOA: keep an eye on this stock.
We'll add more gradually.
90 Comments:
NSM: broke downtrend channel. looking good.
traf: rebound from alltimelow, tested it 4 days in a row, small double bottom, major downtrend not broken yet, any takers?
Back in. Looks like somebody has plans for this stock, but seems they were seeking a better level or trying to get more of the float and shake out weak holders. Still might be too early again. Such is the game of speculation.
smit: was mentioned several times already, seems to be on the move, should deserve a place in no.3
ptl: rebound starting
zorro, I've added smit and ptl.
I will accompany my friends to tour some places from 3-9 March and most probably can not update the blog. zorro, please help answer our fans' questions. Thanks.
aj: this should be a longterm investment, you need to hold until the punters pull it up.now above the 25 day avg and still safe
btc: i recommended a stop of 1.7, you should sell, maybe switch to smit
mlink: the 75 day avg at 2.54 should be a good support, but get out if broken
traf: something you have to watch closely, near a downresistance right now, if it bounces back you better avoid it, if it reaches 1 again, the trend is broken and you can buy at 0.9-1
mida: direction sideways, could form a flag, wait a bit to see a breakout
RK
rk: could be a quicky, stop @ 1.08
I can read this blog but cannot see the chart because the computer of the hotel does not support java.
iec: broke a rally-support line on 28th of february, which should indicate a major trend change. it broke the 75 day avg on friday, next support level would be the 125 day avg (now at 3.2). the rsi is at the lowest level since more than a year, rebound should come soon, but iec could turn out to be a falling knife. mt or lt investors should wait for some consolidation before entering. as learner likes quick rebounds he could try to enter at 3.2, or in case a downchannel develops, 2.5 would be another (safer) possibility to enter (channelsupport and 200 day avg). it is difficult to predict a rebound if the fall occured such quick. i would not be surprised to see iec back at 1.4 this year.....
tcb: rebounded last week due to oversold condition. 18-19 is a good support on the weekly chart and shopuld be used as stop.
notaclue
who is your broker? I like to be yours.
however, I recommend you to enter BLAND, UOBKH, MLINK, GSTEEL, UOBKH
and try to keep calm, otherwise your brokers will be very happy.Your cannot learn all the reasons in the stock market, keep calm.
CHEAP
star: after a doublebottom breakout of recent high, now some consolidation, 25 and 75 day avg crossing at 1.85-1.9 should be a good support
maco: uptrend on constantly strong volume looks good for the longterm (9 could be a strong resistance), some resistance now as rsi is overbought and st-stochastics display a sell signal, 25 day avg area could be used as entry/stop
seafco: slightly downsloping channel since august, volume peak end of february suggests that game is over. If you want to buy, wait for a breakout or enter at channel support (now 3.5-3.6)
Hello Zorro and Scrt4u
MIDA; looking good today, maybe will go up very soon.
CSL; looks pretty stable now, do u think is good time to buy???
Thanks for ur advice
BB
csl: found some resistance at 3.66 (four days in a row) as it is testing the 200 day avg again. could now fall back a bit (to 3.4?). not so sure about this one.
notaclue
in Stock market you cannot expect to make money every day. When you cannot make money everyday, it means you will lose in those days that you cannot make profit, so it is a rule that you have to wait for your stock's timing.
CHEAP
from eddy:
csl: support 3.3-3.5, resistance 4-4.2
mida: support 2.2-2.3, resistance 2.6-2.7
Thanks eddy, i think i'll try to get in lower price sometime this week.
BB
Is the finance sector on course for another rebound? if so when? and what's good to buy.
finance: on longterm basis it should rebound from the rising support line since 2000. shortterm it has rebounded on low volume and a downchannel has developed. now it stays slightly below 25 and 75 day avg, looks more like going down further to test the low at 1000-1030. see bartons charts: the green wedge is now the st-downchannel.
which stocks to buy? i do not know now, would have to scan them all, but sicco seems to be interesting, asp if it can hold 4, will have a closer look during the weekend, no hurry to rush in now.
MIDA, punters wait for a better timing. This stock give a dividend of more than 10.5% at current price
what happen to gsteel???
GBX: looking interesting. Accumulate with a stop at 2.92
finance: underperforming the set since a couple of years, no change of this trend in sight. for those who want some finance stocks in their porte or want to play a sector rebound,i have checked all charts and found the following stocks interesting:
a) rebound play for possible triplebottoms:
asp: support @ 4
cns: support @ 40
kest: support @ 20
kgi: support @ 2
zmico: now at support
b) stocks that are still in uptrend:
gl and kcar: still in uptrend, but weak turnover
ktc: still in a bullrun, use 25 day avg as stop
nfs: looking strong, 75 day avg =stop
c) others:
pl: might be in a reversal stage, use 25 day avg as stop
asl: might rebound from horizontal support @ 9.0 but upside will be restricted by the 25 day avg.
gbx: capital increase by issuing free warrants, could be chased by the warrant hunters
sicco: longterm downtrend broken on strong volume
You missed TNITY - always good for a ramp.
tnity: not on the list, because it seems to have formed a triangle with the support broken a couple of days ago.
Is there a good website to check the directors dealings? I notice on NWR directors buying at 0.98 but I need a reliable source.
http://capital.sec.or.th/webapp/corp_fin/find59e.php
what happened with star this morning, do u think can rebound back upward?
i bought lastwk @1.96...not bad hahh
sillyfools
Thanks for the Directors dealing site, its OK but you have to pick out the 2006 data.
On NWR i see that the directors are continuing to buy as the stock price falls. 6m share in 2006 bought in total with c. SP 1.00 Bht, with recent transactions at c.0.97BHT 1.5m on 8th March 2006.
Today the price is 0.92 so their could be some upscope.... or can this be interpreted another way.
Please comment Zorro and SCRU4U.
NWR: it's now in downtrend. Better wait and see.
UMI: if you entered UMI, now move lpp to 2.1
opps lastly STAR slipped down tdy, any adv on this one?
how about AI, i read their plant capacity wl be increased this quarter, worth to watch..
sillyfools
star: rebounded from the 25 day avg but closed slightly below now. chart has some similarities to siam & svoa, siam continued the uptrend because it remained above the 75 avg. this should be a stop for star
ai: looks weak, triangle has a target of 7
TGCI: if you have this stock, lock your profit today.
EVER: it's looking good again. Buy with a tight stop.
DISTAR: move lpp to 1.20
scrt4u, your comments please:
ktech: if it performs strong tomorrow, more upside should be possible, 25 day avg as stop
svoa: waking up
kmc: bottom pick?
zorr, my views:
ktech - 75dma works as support while 25dma as resistance;still ambiguous.
svoa - semms waking up but on the way up there are some resistances btw 1.10-1.25
kmc - seems bottom, OBV looking ok.
POWER: Boiling. If you do day trading, set lpp at 5.80.
AI: resistance at around 11.00
TCJ: looking good. zorro, what do you think?
UOBKH: keeps going up. move lpp to 6.7 or higer.
PHATRA: broke both 25 and 75 dma. Resistance around 47.
tcj: jumped in when I saw it taking off. now have to do some research (normally it is the other way round). stopped at the 75 day avg, if it continues tomorrow morning with a couple of % up, then it could fly. lots of stocks that have been falling in nomansland are getting attention, power, tgci, and so on. there are plenty more around, need to do some more screening.
ai: formed a downchannel since january, stopped at the 25 day avg and ended at a former horizontal support, should fail at channelresistance 10.7 intraday tomorrow
phatra: if the channel i mentioned earlier is ok, it could go above 52
may I know your tech support for VNG?and how about res level GLOW thx!
Ueda
VNG: resistance at 6 and then 6.5
GLOW: Already broke all resistances. "Sky is the limit". When it is losing momentum, RP. Now move lpp to 28.7
TTA: looking interesting. enter now with tight stop may get probably at least 10% profit. Good luck.
PRECHA: looks interesting. Accumulate with a stop at 3.36. Good luck.
SINGHA: looks interesting. Get in with a tight stop. good luck.
SINGHA: 70m shares are being offloaded
If you are nervous, you can use today's open price as a stop. Put your present emotion on record and let time show your result. After the result comes out, comepare it with your present emotion and you will understand how the bighands scare you away. Hope useful to you. I often make mistakes.
PRECHA: If your cost is lower than 3.75, move lpp to 3.75, good luck.
SOLAR: started moving again.
TFI: It seems this stock is being speculated.
I don't encourage you to enter MME now becayse it's up so much.
KSL: your entry looks OK but use a tight stop to protect youself.
Good luck.
zorro, may i hv ur comment on TKS-W1 pls, thanks.
GEN: what do you make of this? I bot some recently, went down 5% since then, shd i dump it or hold on?
If your loss is 5%, you should dump it.
SHIN: when it broke the uptrend channel, I suggested exit. Look at the chart now and you can see it is down over 26% :( This is a good example for locking profit or risk management even you have 0% gain.
tks: broke yesterday the downtrend since last august and formed an uptrend channel with support now 2.7. tks-w1: kelive gives a volatility of 55 % (see report last september), which seems to be a touch too high for the current performance, as the stock was trading in a tight range during the last 12 month. the yield is 6% for 2005 and using those figures the warrant is now 40% above the fair value of 0.5.
using a volatility of 20-30%, the fair value would be less than 0.1 baht. thus the warrant would not be interesting for longterm investment
thanks zorro for such detailed comment on TKS-W1. I'm holding some TKS @ 2.73, do you recommend hold or should I get rid of it?
thanks again.
tks: hold it as long it does not break the channelsupport in the area of 2.66-2.7
traf: those who entered when i mentioned it on 1st of march @ 0.9 might take profit (up 20 %, not too bad), as it failed to break the former horizontal support @ 1.17. sell especially if the 75 day avg is taken out, which can happen any time
TRAF will go to next level of 1.30
spack: was trading sideways, now moving up and volume setting in
TFI: looking more interesting. If you try it, set stop at 0.19

notaclue, what do you mean by the following:
--------------------
MIDA (c5% at 2.11),
BTC (c5% at 1.74),
GSTEEL (c30% at 1.35),
MLINK (c15% at 2.79),
SATTEL (c10% at 12.20)
TWP today (10% at 24.50).
---------------------
In anoter words, what does c5% at 2.11 mean? etc.
notaclue, I think your can release MME and buy IRP (buy in 3 steps so that you have money to average down at least once).
CSL: It's near its resitance at 4.1 again.
NWR: I think you can accumulate this one with a tight stop.
If you like to get in bland, jas, please use tight stop.
IRP: As we expected, this stock started moving. Enjoy.
notaclue, now your twp is making money for you. move lpp to 29.00. If it breaks this lpp, RP. Then IP when it's good again.
zorro, do you think TWP overvalued now according to your fomular calculation?
notaclue, if your loss on GSTEEL is 10%, exit no question asked. Then re-enter when price is good again.
GBX chased by warrant hunters, theres a thought.... warrant hunters wearing khaki shorts and armed with spears.... Yes 'd like to know from the Gentlemen whether there is any merit in this one from a technical and fundamental point of view.
sorry, I have read the past commentary and want an updated opinion if there is one. (i am the holder of these)
Thanks to all the efforts and kind attention made to the investors who use this site. It is most interesting.
Welcome mickie the mouse! From a technical point of view, GBX is looking interesting. Probably something cooking there. As often happens, who can guarantee that there will be no more "shakeout"? As long as it keep above the support 2.92, hold it. Good luck, funny mickie the mouse!
notaclue, if you have 3% divident earned, you can move down your stop to 1.19 (13% - 3% = 10%) Good luck.
I dumped out of SATTEL today, and see the price is fall to 11.3 from 11.7 PS. Mickie the Mouse says a big thankyou for the heated debate on this stock. Now I guess its a question of timing for when to trade SATTEL again.
mickie the mouse, you did correctly. Sattel made a new low so you should dump it.
hi guys, have been without internet connection the last couple of days, now i'm back with adsl --- wow, what a difference.
need a bit time to catch up as i am moving houses, next week more comments from me.
zorro, we've been missing you.
btc: after the bearish triangle broke to the downside, btc may have found a new platform near the alltime low of 1.5, the downtrend since the january peak was broken yesterday, now challenging the 25 day avg., some chance for notaclue to come back into the green if the 75 day avg is taken out (1.7).
picni: failed to stay above 75 day avg, could fall back to 25 day avg at 0.65
bland: now at january 05 high, could be difficult to break
twp: can't say if it is overvalued because my formulars are for warrants. have no research about this one.
GBX moving up now to 3.04, I hope this is a good sign. Just thought i'd pass this on.
Best regards,
the mouse.
GBX: it broke 5dma and 10dma, the mouse
tdy I bought UV & KTP @closing market, any comment on both plssss thx!
ueda
uv: should see 2.4 in the short/medium term
ktp: a bit dangerous, might get pressured by the 25 avg and fall back to the 75 avg, i would get out if 4.5 is broken
hi, any comment on ITD and STEC @ current price?
also bought KTB @ 10.70, pls advice.
thx
ITD is ok, but KTB and STEC are in downtrend.
EVER: We suggested to get in on 14 March, now it is up over 30%. Enjoy our fans.
EVER: move lpp to 4.25
MALEE: if you have gut, maybe you can get some quick pocket money. Use tight stop. Good luck. Don't be greedy.
