Welcome to "Stocks discussion No.7 - 2009". Please post your stock picks or question/comments here.
TICON: if you have enough patience, I suggest you to buy some and hold them for several months. You will be rewarded finally.
Note: Please read our disclaimer
TICON: Take a look at its monthly chart and you will see that it's been consolidating its "horizontal punting platform" for 7 months. As long as you are patient, you will get rewarded. Good luck!
SGP keep on rock'in up baby :)
wait to enter MAJOR if down around 6.5
TICON's financial account is amazingly nice. I'd say that TICON is considered one of the best landlord stock out there which is still available.
TICON: Some insiders are selling. Keep some cash for buy at lower price. Enjoy!
TSTH, DTAC: yr views pls :)
DB
TSTH or Tata Steel Thailand is the biggest Indian steel in company and one of the highest ranking steel companies in the world, on fundamental views this company is a blue chip in the steel sector with a very good managment in place, professionally run. The best steel company in fundamental view to own.
Dtac a telco company in a saturated mobile market like thailand where everyone already has a mobile and subscriber growth is only going to slow, all the buzz is about the 3G ( which not everyone is going to use but on specualtion that it will reduce regulatory costs). That was my personal view. Technicals SCRT4U is the best guy and will let you know.
I rate on fundamental view TSTH a buy and DTAC HOLD.
KM
P.S- buying and selling is at your own risk this is only my views, fundamentals can change on many basis e.g state of the economy, state of the country etc
thx KM
GBX breakout?
For sure GBX....2Q expect earnings to be very strong. possible merger talks in the back ground as well.
watch out seems bear market might continue further!
clean up my port tdy SGP, PTTEP & MAJOR...be patient & wait another chance to buy
It's been a while, but is E still cooking there?
May I have a comment on E please scrt?
Thanks in advance.
To ueda,
SET: seems there is support around 550-560. If it cannot hold, then next support is around 500.
To Seizhin,
It seems the major players are scaring retailers. Please check the 5-years monthly chart and you can see the price is still within th horizontal channel. Still cooking. But if they like, they may smash it down to around 0.50. Cutloss if it breaks down 1.05
To DB,
GBX: please check the 5-years monthly chart and you can see the price is at the bottom area. Its MACD and SKD are going up slowly and surely. Interesting!
DELTA: seems forming a double-bottom. You may buy some with tight stop. Good luck.
BAY: It's near the 25 days moving average line. You may buy some with tight stop. Good luck.
YNP: broke (up) the downtrend line (connect the highs of 25/05/2009 and 09/07/2009) after tripple-bottom. Its price now is above the 10 days, 25 days and 75 days moving average. looking Bullish. If you chase, set tight stop. Good luck!
CGS: Already up over 500%. Now seems making a M-shaped top. If you have this stock, reduce your position considerably. Do not be too greedy. Enjoy! :)
ACL: UP over 100% since my call on 28 April when it was 3.30 after its big gap-up.

ACL: Wow! There should be strong support above the gap. Raise your LPP to 3.0. Enjoy!:)
TICON: seems time to increase your positon again. Set tight stop for those newly-bought position. Good luck.
you can watch MAJOR & perhaps buy around 6...I think their 2Q wl be better due to more box offices gained
scrt4u, what's your view BIGC, KTC and TVO thx
SGP can hold well, perhaps another wave...
TPOLY also reach 3++ as mentioned earlier, further upside??happy guessing pals!
NWR woken up again!
any others can you recommend?
cheers
DB
To ueda,
BIGC: I cannot interprete the chart.
KTC: forming a tri-angle with 8.05-8.2 as a horizotal support. Buy some with tight stop.
TVO: seems brokout. You may buy some with tight stop.
DISTAR: broke out downtrend line. Haha!
BAY: UP as I blindly guessed on 11 July 2009. If you bought yestoday (13 July 09) as I recommended, you may sell some today as it's near the previous high. Do not sell all. Sell some today. If it goes down tomorrow, buy some. Haha! :)

BAY: It's near the 25 days moving average line. You may buy some with tight stop. Good luck.
YNP: there is strong support around 1.00. Today the major players are doing the shaking-out.
Are you scared?
TRU: seems preparing a rebounce. If you try, set tight stop. Good luck.
After a lengthy period of my bleeding profits, today provided a much needed and very significant transfusion.
Have boarded scrt4u's TICON for L/T;
and thx to 'Gem' for reply in #6 discussion.
I've ridden KEST successfully in the past; curious what scrt4u considers it's present status.
thx!
Seems like ACL is also preparing for a further run what say SCRT4U? The players dont let it fall much but dont let it rise either, are they just trying to make the technicals ripe for a jump?
KM
P.S- Nice call on BAY, if people bought followed up 6% in a day!
To KM,
ACL: your chart interpretation is very good. Today ACL gapped up as you expected. Keep on your good guessing :)
To lukdod,
TICON: This stock is still in the very low area. keep some cash as your cost-regulating instrument to tackle the shake-out by the major players. It needs long-term patience. Good luck! :)
KMC: brokeout downtrend line. If you chase, stop tight. Good luck!
AMC: seems starting another run. Stop tight if you chase. Good luck!
BLAND: seems there is support around the 75 moving average line.
TTCL: seems brokeout the downtrend line. If you chase, stop tight. Good luck! :)
DELTA: moving up as I guessed. Keep raising up your LPP, enjoy!

I agree with SCRT4U on the ITD call could double along with some other contractors like STEC
KM
market still uncertain nowadays...we thought up they down and other way around!
bought some KTB, SGP & MAJOR
JMART seems like something might happen to this stock on the upside purely for speculation purposes!
KM
P.S- sold out ACL and BAY
Congrats, 'gem'!! I'd been in and out of BAY for 5-months. Unfortunately I unwisely bailed out of BAY last Tues (7/14) missing out on 60K more profits I would have had today. [sigh!]
Now where to go? Suggestions?
Hi Guys
would be nice to get daily updates on trading days. I know its free and all, but never the less, i feel the blog would get more popular if it was updated more often.
I could add my 2 baht daily but i aint no trading expert :)
My suggestion would be a quick summation on top 10 stocks, and themes for the week,
when i do see what is said here its always good solid info~ cheers
sorry bout the rant but like to know whats happening :)
I have some positive views on TOP, MINT and TSTH as for now, those are the ones I am looking at. For even riskier and higher fluctuations TSTH-W1 could also be tried.
KM
P.S- Mint because it being pressured due to H1N1 but hey you gotta buy stuff when people dont want it and dont like it when everyone wants it you give it to them. Mint on sale I like sales!
BLAND: seem preparing another run.
TICON: cooking quietly. Good luck!
Still holding onto TICON, and would possibly switch from PTT To TICON.
Keep an eye on news of how TICON will sell some of the factories to TFUND.
bought BAY @18.2 & CPF @5
I'd prefer ROJNA than TICON for short term...
Like DB, I'm not very knowledgeable on reading charts and appreciate the trading advice
and insight that has been provided here. And, I thank 'scrt4u' for having the board and the
service it provides! I, too, feel it would be beneficial to all if board members would provide
more frequent updates on their thoughts and picks.
I'm confused about ITD, which scrt4u picked last year [before I was in the market] and has since
had a significant gain and 'gem' recently suggested it may have further gains. ITD currently seems
stagnant and I not sure whether to hold or sell my ITD holdings.
In it's place I'm curious about the users thoughts about SF?
To Lukdod,
If a stock has been stagnant for a long time its actually a good thing and what happens next depends usually a break out up or down. In the case of ITD we are assuming it would go up and its just consolidating after the run its had scrt4u can enlighten to you more on it. Of course when you buy you should always set a stop loss point incase markets turn against us which as is always stated by scrt4u protecting your prinical is your priority.
KM
heii what's up TICON fans :) I also bought some tdy @6.35
scrt4u your view on CCET, MILL & KSL pls...I notice sugar px is keep on increasing!
Not sure if I can post, but theres a blog on the stockmarket, business & politics in thailand
http://www.thailandjunkie.blogspot.com/
doesnt give out specifics on stocks but overall theme, which i think complements this blog
DB
Bought more TICON after failing to get it at 6.10 this week.
Still holding onto STEC and PTT.
Wall street and Crude looks positive, maybe to expect a nice green on SET tomorrow.
I think political worries are on the short term factor.
Interesting stocks are SF, SGP, and BANPU.
Seizhin...As we all now know, Wall Street was hot and crude was but a trickle, hence SET's green proved both elusive and fickle.
I, too, expected a much better day. Alas!
