I've been out of the market since last year, awaiting good news. I looked at GLD and didn't see reason to follow Jon's lead. OTOH, he's often correct and I'm often wrong ;-) Time will tell...
GLD is just an outright gamble on Gold going north and a good tracker fund for those who believe the same.
I also gambled last friday on oil going south in the short term and sold PTTG with a 30 per cent return and IRPC with a 13 per cent return and locked in handsome. profits. On the whole i am very positive on the SET for this year and next and did most of my buying last year when i was negative. Portfolio is bearing fruit now but as always there may be more shopping to do between May and September.
PTG is still on the top of the list for growth followed by PM SAT and PCSGH. If and when LAZADA IPOs fill your boots ,) Last year was the only year i stayed flat which was a successful achievent considering my prediction of a double bottom last year of around 1225 and i was buying what i believe were bargains. I just pass on what i only believe and take no notice of brokers etc etc.
There is a golden key to the market that is staring everyone in the face but that i will always keep to myself and i advise others to do likewise if they know what that key is ,)
Lukdod, i sold all by May last year and bought most back as soon as the mkt went below 1250, 2015 was a great opp for buying and don't miss the bout this year as there are still great buying signals there and lets see by the end of the year. I believe it will be the best performer in asia ,),) i shouted this loud in january to all my friends and most didn't listen. now over 9 per cent up since my call , DONT miss the Boat .
