UMI
JON: UMI has fallen 6% since you called it at 7.45, and looks like it could continue down to 6 or even 5.50.
I took a very small position, so no damage there, but the puzzling part for me is that you are generally spot on with your calls, so there may be something I have missed.
Can you give reasons for plugging UMI?
well yes i can but will take too long,do what i do and buy more on dips just like i do on most stock.
I held UMI about 18 months ago at an average of 3bht and it went all the way to 30.I sold at 6 12 24bht and a nice tidy profit was had. I never think imediately when i call a stock and my average is around yours at the moment and i will continue to buy just like i did last time, i also own RCI and making a handsome profit on that yet again.UMI is RCIs major sharehoder i believe.So trust me on this one and be patient.I NEVER sell in the red ,) and theres something going on in another company UMI owns and i believe its positive, lets see ,)
JON: I wasn't impressed with UMI when you called it, but I still took a position purely out of respect for your judgement.

Bang goes my 50 per cent rise on SVI with the fire but even at the floor,i still have 20 pc, great buying opp as for sure they are fully insured BUT,dont know how it will effect the future,shame as they were at 100 per cent cappacity. May see a good rebound ??
JON I'm another long term holder for SVI and I csn tell you that this will cause a long term demand and customer problem.
Let's see how they will solve the problem
I totally agree but ime going to ride it out with SVI as its always come good and this time round i only have 30,000 shares,interesting few days and we all know what can happen at the casino.
This mkt is a creature of habit and as expected,always corrects this time of year,expect a BIG rebound soon ,)

Sold PTG yesterday 5.85 and a hefty 300k profit,hop it goes down into the bht4s and will dive in again but for sure i am confident that it is a great medium term stk and just hoping for a dip for buying opps again ??? Still buying UMI and ESSO, yes ESSO,boring stk but gambling on a takeover in the nxt couple of years ?? no need to rush for this one but bear in mind.)
still buying SVI at 4 and below,it got through the floods good and no reason it wont recover after the fire ,)
1 word of warning is that BBL is under performing and NDVR buyers have very little shares right now.That is not a good sighn for the Mkt,so be cautios,thats why ime taking profits where i can on smaller stk. Maybe nothing to worry but it is a fact ,)
You are right. BBL (NDVR allocation) was fully subscribed since around the beginning of this month.
Sold BH,PTT and BTS to raised a shit load of money but more imortant a nice ,nice profit. Normally i am positive about the mkt but i feel the correction has to happen and ime hedging all bets.
hope ime right as the rebound should come in the new year ,)

UMI: 15% down so far and another 15% to bottom out at 5.50-5.30, then a rest period before it breaks one way or the other. Best advice if you hold any is get rid of it.

i NEVER get rid of a losing stock,i buy more just like i did with UMI B4 when i hit the jackpot with it,check the charts my friend ,) sold ITD at 7.65 today with a 89 per cent profit and i still spot a correction in the mkt b4 the rocket in the new year ,lets see ,)
of couse nobody mentions my 6+ per cent rise on PM in just a few days,better pay than the banks ,)
JON: UMI is a losing proposition. It may rocket at some time in the future like you said, but this is the wrong time to buy. It's 15% down since you called it and the charts show a clear continuation diamond to force it down another 15% before it bottoms out.
I do not understand the concept of being happy when my stock collapses because then I can average down, but if this is your philosophy I suggest you hold on because you can top up even cheaper later on.
Don't get me wrong, without a doubt you are the best contributor to this blog, and your calls are quality. As I said I took a position on UMI even though I didn't like the look of it, simply out of respect for your excellent record.
Now I am out, small loss, but will keep it on my watch list for later on when it settles.

i do admire your energy but i believe you play the game with 2 eyes and probably a magnifying glass right??
Any casino,anybody can win if they play in the same way as banker,by holding,you are,by selling,you will be not only dealt out and be the loser but you will also hit a double whammy when the rocket blasts off so quick that you will miss the boat ,)
I have already cashed in many winning chips over the past couple of weeks and made a tidy sum,guess what,? non were down,they were all up and never sell a losing stk unless you are a nervous loser ,? hope you get the clue as thats as close as i am going to give you one ,happy trading matey and i can still smell around a 15 per cent correction b4 the fire lights the rocket ,lets see ,)

I am a first time player on the SET.
I am looking for a long term investment, about 1 - 2 years.
What would you recommend??
So far I have invested in FSMART, IEC, WAT-W1, AEC and TKS, but I want to put everything into one stock. Would you suggest any of these or another stock??
I have about 50-60,000 Baht to put in.

Never put your money in the same bag. That's the best advise I can give you.
